House Cleaning
House Cleaning
The offense is a defense. Prevention is the best way to tackle housework.
Don’t allow food anywhere in the house, except the table. No drinks, except water, out of the kitchen.
Use sippy cups whenever possible.
Vinegar is an excellent, non-toxic cleaner. The smell fades fairly quickly.
Swiffers are awesome on hard surfaces. Make sure the floor is completely dry – it will drag on a wet spot.
Swiffer refills are expensive. I use a Viva paper towel instead.
The age of your kids, determines the quantity and quality of chores you can assign them.
I use push-ups for rule breakers - like food in the room. It’s less traumatic than a spanking, but equally effective.
Magic eraser can get rid of most scuffmarks on walls. Do not use on shiny surfaces or wood!!!!

Baby Signs
I can’t say enough about the use of sign language with babies. Joseph Garcia noticed as an interpreter for the deaf, that hearing children of deaf parents could communicate much sooner than they could speak.
Grocery Shopping
My best advice - go without the kids or send your husband, partner or friend.
Here are some other suggestions to help ease your pain:
Laundry
Consider laundry to be continuous rather than having a start and finish. You will become less frustrated, because laundry never ends. My advice is more geared towards doing laundry for a large family.
