Learning from other's Mistakes
- The offense is a defense. Prevention is the best way to tackle housework.
- Don’t allow food anywhere in the house, except the table. No drinks, except water, out of the kitchen.
- Use sippy cups whenever possible.
- Magic eraser can get rid of most scuffmarks on walls. Do not use on shiny surfaces or wood!!!!
- Vinegar is an excellent, non-toxic cleaner. The smell fades fairly quickly.
- Swiffers are awesome on hard surfaces. Make sure the floor is completely dry – it will drag on a wet spot.
- Swiffer refills are expensive. I use a Viva paper towel instead.
- The age of your kids, determines the quantity and quality of chores you can assign them.
- I use push-ups for rule breakers - like food in the room. It’s less traumatic than a spanking, but equally effective.
