There are gypsies, real gypsies that roam around the tourist spots.  If a young girl walks up to you and asks if you speak English, say “No” or “Nein”.   If you say yes, they will hand you a note that says their Mom, sister or daughter is in the hospital and she needs money for a surgery.  It’s a scam.

England, Scotland, Ireland

Yes, they speak English there.  But it’s different.  Just like people in LA speak differently than people from NYC or the South.  LAer’s and NYer’s do not say Howdy or Y’all.  Some of the words mean completely different things. 

For example:

Pissed = Drunk
Fag = Cigarette
Gay = Happy
Mad = Crazy

So, a "pissed gay fag" is a "drunk happy cigarette" – across the pond, that is.
